Community Involvement

6th Annual LLS Golf Tournament

The Columns Resource Group hosted the 6th Annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Golf Tournament at Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington, MN on Monday August 3rd.  The golf scramble was followed by a dinner and silent auction and raised money to help find a cure for blood cancers. This event raised a total of $35,000 for LLS this year. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds nearly $2.5 million in blood cancer research at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. The Columns Resource Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network is honored to have received the 2008 LLS Reaching for the Stars Corporate Award. They are proud to once again be involved in raising money for this great organization and cause. 
 

 

Carlson School of Management – University of Minnesota

The Columns Resource Group is proud to be a partner in the growth and expansion of one of their community’s biggest campuses and one of the nation’s top business schools. Their $125,000 sponsorship of the Carlson School of Management - University of Minnesota helps to deepen the impact they are already making with many alumni participating in volunteer mentoring and educational opportunities.

The Columns Resource Group Undergraduate Scholarship has also been created, which will be awarded every year to an incoming freshman. The promising recipient of this scholarship must have demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a need for financial assistance to pursue their academic ambitions. The Columns Resource Group is excited to have the opportunity to help deserving young people with the chance at a world class business education.  Conner Kolodge of Duluth, MN is the 2009-2010 scholarship recipient.   

 
 
12th Annual Bedrace for Bridging

Columns Resource Group is once again sponsoring this year’s Bedrace for Bridging.  The event takes place at Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN on Saturday, March 6th 2010. Volunteers from CRG will be providing s’mores to all the racers, as well as sponsoring their own teams to race down the tubing hill on mattresses.
